The ads that run in the right sidebar are a learning experience for me. In two weeks they have earned $5; not enough to quit my day job but possibly enough to pay my annual web hosting fees - after making my promised contribution to charity. At this point I have learned what I wanted to learn, so I could take them away and be satisfied. On the other hand, I like watching the little account grow. It’s like magic.
The money makes far less difference to me than what you think, though. Will you leave a comment? Tell me if you think the ads are negative or positive - or if you simply don’t care. (If you have never left a comment before, it is easy. There is no need to register and no need to leave any personal information. Just click the “_Comments” link below.)

They aren’t negative or positive to me - really don’t care. However, it sure is odd what they decide to advertise. It has been kind of intriguing. “…let’s see what the ad engines are hitting on today…”.

I read your blog through RSS feed so I never see them. Therefore, they are fine with me.

I find them to be a curiosity item. Like what Andy said, I peruse them to see what they are advertising today. Need a hotel room in Baghdad? Hey, we’ve got one for you! They add a secondary source of amusement to your blog.

I browse w/ Firefox and they are blocked by my googlebar extension. So I really don’t mind if you have them or not.

I normally don’t go through the ads, unless one looks interesting, then I might see what it has to say; but today, office furniture has no interest to me. Don’t think I’ll be needing any. If it works for you, it is great with me. Certainly doesn’t bother me. May God’s blessings continue to be yours as you continue to serve Him!

I think in the spirit of NASCAR you should keep them and routinely drop their names in your Poweraide fueled posts.
Of course, I read your blog via the STP Rss feed so it doesn’t really affect my Home Depot way I read it.

Personally, they crack me up.

Ads, what ads. I really don’t even notice them. However, just because you brought to attention today. I got an add for something my company publishes! In some non-English language.

Keep them. It seems to be a simple way to send you some extra bucks. I check out all the ads once a day. It just takes a few minutes and is an interesting surf. Your daughter just entered teendom. Our daughter is entering adulthood at 21. My, how time does fly. Does your brother have a website?

I am thinking this web/blog is worthy of your investigation. This man Kenneth is getting revelation worthy of your attention.

Only one person told me, offline, that he wouldn’t add them to his blog, but that was the extent of the negative comments. I think they’ll stay for now. They amuse me, too.
