St. Louis Cardinals in World Series
Lately it’s been fun watching our home team, the Cardinals, playing in their new stadium in the World Series! And beating the Tigers, too, (as of this post).
The day before the series started I read an article on ESPN.com explaining how no one gave the Cardinals any chance of winning - except if the Tigers choked. It was then I knew the Cardinals had a great shot at winning. My hunch has been accurate so far, only the Tigers haven’t choked. The Cardinals have just pitched two amazing games.
Tonight’s game is rain delayed, so we’re sitting around waiting for the rain to stop.

Claire and Sophie just arrived in St. Louis today. (They went with my dad to visit my brother.) My brother promised that if the Cards win he will take the girls to see the celebratory parade. So, we’ll see…

It looks like Claire and Sophie will be going to a parade. The Cardinals have beaten the Tigers in the World Series. Woo hoo!
I liked the sign that I saw on TV of someone in the stands had made. It simply said “The experts are idiots”. ESPN may have predicted the Tigers to win, but they obviously didn’t count on the determination of the Cards.
And what kind of “expert” says a team will win unless they choke? That’s a non-statement.
Well Cards fans everywhere can now laugh at ESPN experts for their prediction. And Tiger fans can point their fingers at ESPN for causing their team to choke.
