EveryStudent.com Seminar at CM2007
The day began with a breakfast meeting and ended at 9:30 when we shut down the booth at CM2007 (“Campus Mission 2007″). Our two seminars about using EveryStudent.com to reach university campuses with the gospel went well, and people are excited about what they are hearing about EveryStudent.com.
We sat Korean style for the seminars; no chairs. I stole a bench from one of the convention center restaurants just so I could operate the powerpoints and video projector without stooping over our table for four hours.
And we discovered that writing our hotel address didn’t help our taxi driver get us home. He only reads Korean characters. Duh.

Glad your trip is going well so far.
Today, we discovered that Busan is the hometown of a guy at church. I ate with 2 Korean friends today who warned that the “good” Korean food is very spicy & there’s not many sugary desserts. They lament that their young kids crave sugary sweets that the moms find distasteful.
Have you been to the nearby coast? Apparently Japan is only an hour’s flight to the west.
Thanks for the opportunity to learn more about South Korea!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the conference, in spite of the long hours. Please tell us how Marge is holding up at home.

Yes, the coast is just a five minute walk from our hotel and very nice. Nearby is a hotel where George and Laura Bush and Condi Rice stayed at for APEC meetings in 2005.
Busan is really a nice town. 4 million people is more like a city, but since we so close to the water and there are hills separating us from the rest of the city that it feels smaller.
I had a donut, and it was about half strength sugar.
