This time the bottom section of wood on the other side of the side window rotted out. Rather than replace the rotten wood with good wood, I simply filled the huge gap with Rock Hard putty! Cheap, quick solution that should hold steady for a few years. A new door is inevitable at some point, though. Two years to the day I had to do MORE remedial work on this door assembly.
